I am moving over to PH now ahead of Sunday.

Love debating with all of you and some nice friendships are already emerging, but I am absolutely swamped with work, so I have decided to go over to PH now and open all new threads over there. There is just not enough time to tend to both sites and read everything, it is just making me a little tired...

One thing in saying "transition": this statistics stuff is really important to me, it is part of my heart and soul. It soothed me during the darkest hours of my life. For me, numbers dance a dance that at least I can see, and this is why I report this stuff with such joy in my writing. I hope that it is infectious and will catch on with some of you as well.

Feel free to go to my politics blog at blogspot often. I have asked AMIT to grant me a blog at the new site, so that all the statistics stuff will be in one place, for as 2012 really gets underway it would be nice to have a quick grasp of the numbers as they develop. BTW, here was my (windy) introduction to PH. You may find it interesting because I discuss briefly a number of projects that have been publicized on this blog of mine - and some of you may find it helpful should you want to go digging for stuff.

I understand. It's getting exhausting for me as well. Even though I was bouncing b/w the two before the merger idea was floated, it's become more consuming of time since then.

I just found out about this merger today. It's funny, PH was one of the forums I experimented with before coming here, having determined that it's not really my kind of environment. I hope that it doesn't result in a degradation of the quality of debate that goes on here. It's my understanding that this is a general concern among many PF members

I know virtually nothing about PH, but from what I've read here it sounds like it's much like what we have here...except for more of everything, good and bad. The problem for me is that I envision the bad outweighing the good..at least in comparison to PF.

I think there is hope given Amit's post on his moderator/staff structure and the anti-basement notion but, as I've said before, I'll take a wait and see position.

Then it is our job to do our best that the good outweigh the bad, regardless of ideological inclination. That is what real, healthy, adult debate is about.

Good post, bonn. Singularity and JoJo, I think you will both find it will feel like home. You just have to get used to the big city feel at first, and then after a bit, it seems like a small neighborhood again.

Good moderation is the key. Let's hope Amit's changes corral those in the Lefty Loonie Posse who seek to drum out anyone with whom they disagree.
