I just learned this movement was born from an Allen Keys/Orly Taitz lawsuit. I think this was stupid before, now I know you people would sell your soul to prove your point. Allen Keys....

Mr. "you support slavery because you don't rule out spanking your children" Allen Keys.

Mr. "I reject marriage equality because it denies adopted children the knowledge of their birth parents" Al?

Its a sad day in America that these idiots are leaders. As Lewis Black once said "I've heard so many god damn patriotic songs I'm begging to be enslaved in chains."

That includes the idiot and chief peebo. He spent 1.2 billion in walking and bicycling initiatives last year while the debt and unemployment climbed out of control. Amazing what people will vote for. A good baritone and the ability to read a teleprompter and the guys qualified to be in our nations highest office. Sheesh what a bunch of morons.

I don't know who Lewis Black is, but that sentence makes him sound like a dumbass. I hope he got what he wanted.

a ) these idiots are not "leaders", they're just idiots who have a few other idiots followng them

b ) there is no birther "movement", just a few idiots who still think the constitution means something, and a few other idiots like Taitz who don't give a damn about the constitution and are using this issue for personal aggrandizement (or political gain - are you aware that Taitz just ran for office in California?)

c ) The only people worse than Keyes are the Nancy Pelosis of the world, who hold political power (she's number 3 in line for the presidency, right?) and still manage to trash the constitution on live international television (Ms. Nancy "are you kidding me? are you kdding me?" Pelosi)

The interesting thing here, is that most Americans don't seem to care whether Obama was born in Kenya or in Hawaii. It doesn't seem to matter. We - WE the American people - have been brainwashed by even worse idiots called "globalists", who want to play God and change the laws of nature, and are so arrogant that they believe they can actually succeed.

They can not. There is absolutely no way that they will ever succeed, because the "one world" concept goes entirely against the laws of God and man.

It's kind of like trying to make an apple fall up. Scientists have tried - for centuries - but they haven't succeeded yet. And that's because the laws of nature are such that apples fall down, not up. And the laws of nature are such that people focus on differences instead of similarities, and people have differing interests and priorities, and anyone who thinks they can make all of that "uniform" is like a sorcerer invoking incantations to make the apple fall up.

The sad part about it is that many people are gullible enough to believe in the "magic powers" of the sorcerer, when in reality he's just very good at legerdemain and tromp l'oeil, and maybe he knows when the next eclipse is going to occur so he can score brownie points by "predicting" it. And the more dramatic he is in his prediction, the more idiots he gets to buy into his BS.

America is in trouble. The people have lost the core of their political soul, and that is definitely trouble, for the nation and for the people. In the old days countries would get conquered when that happened, because the leader next door would smell an opportunity. These days there's no need to "conquer America", because we're doing it to ourselves, and others don't have to lift a finger, they just sit back and watch it happen.

If there actually were a birther "movement", I might feel differently, but there's not. Just a few lonely voices howling at the moon. While the rest of the country is busily engaged in making ends meet, and many people seem to care more about the price of gas than they do about the state of the union.

    Turn off your TV.

Recognize that most of modern journalism is more like Sports than traditional journalism.

The desire is to herd people into camps, give them broad labels, like uniforms and root for your side.

Genuinely thinking that Obama was born in Kenya is about as silly as genuinely thinking that people should not be curious about Obama's family history.

Both positions reflect the two valued orientation of modern "journalism."

The Birther Movement is really the Modern Journalism Movement.

A "global" society changes the laws of Nature? How so?

You do realize that Christians want a global society, don't you? They just want THEIR guy Jesus running the show.

42% of Republicans believe Obama is lying about where he was born. 30% more of Republicans are not sure. And only 28% of Republicans think Obama is telling the truth about where he was born.

that speaks more to credibility than to some idiots. obama has very little credibility with repubs and losing more with dims each day. if there is doubt and a question of honesty then it makes it easier to not believ than to believe.

Maybe you're right..righties have begun to disbelieve Obama without any regard for what he says. Wasn't it you who said that dismissing sources out of hand without examining the evidence was wrong?

Obama isn't losing any credibility with Democrats. His approval rating is still 48.1% approval 47.4% disapproval, and it has remained relatively unchanged since January. What you're seeing, and I don't expect Republicans to understand, is where Democrats disagree with Obama but don't turn on him. Republicans eat their own if they don't toe the Republican line. I'm always ready to admit that my side is as bad as the other...but in this case, Republicans are far more intolerant of dissagreement within thier own party than Democrats are. That's all that's going on.

Precisely! Just because 47.4% of democrats may state they disapprove of what Obama is doing does not mean that 99% of them would not still support him over any republican you care to put forth.
