    Ted Nugent: A salute to Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, et al.

    In a Washington Times opinion piece, Ted Nugent salutes Gov. Palin, Glenn Beck and all those who are standing up and speaking truth to corrupt power -- the radical leftists who are temporarily in charge of our government. Here's an excerpt:

    The undying appreciation Americans have for Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin speaks volumes about the self-evident truth and logic that remains common and sensible across this great land.

    On behalf of so many families with whom I am humbled to share a deep connection, I wish to thank and salute both Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin for speaking for us and representing the pragmatism that drives our quality of life.

    Of course, I cannot fail also to salute and thank sincerely... so many other conservative, sensible, courageous and reasonable voices all across this country.

    Very nice to see him express his open adoration of then soon to be Ex-Gov Sarah Palin. She has since on many occasions done radio shows with with her and Ted giving dual interviews. Appearing with him in other events..she has really grasped this stars overall stunning patriotism and embraced his ideology. Of course she also knew he was doing and saying things like this as well.



    Political Thunder: Ted Nugent to Obama: "suck on my machine gun!"

    Renegade right-winger Ted Nugent recently went on a vicious onstage rant in which he threatened the lives of Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Decked out in full-on camouflage hunting gear, Nugent wielded two machine guns while raging, “Obama, he’s a piece of shit. I told him to suck on my machine gun. Hey Hillary,” he continued. “You might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch.” Nugent summed up his eloquent speech by screaming “freedom!”

    Perhaps Sarah has made another error in judgment?

    This "Palin/Nugent" dream team topic came up in another thread http://www.politicsforum.com/general...tml#post163652 and i thought that under the circumstances of people wanting to discuss the topic of certain people expressing or supporting crazy gun rhetoric and certain threats it really deserves it's own thread.

    The funniest part is when Nugent proclaimed in his statement

    Now how and where did this true patriot learn how to give a real salute to any well deserved, well intention true patriotic American when he did this.

    That spectacle won Nugent a deferment, he says, although the Free Press was unable to verify his draft status.
    "The men who went should be applauded, but if I would have gone over there, I’d have been killed, or I’d have killed all the hippies in the foxholes . . . I would have killed everybody." In other words, what Ted was really saying was let them do the job for me, while I rock and lounge over here in safety.

    Saw him decades ago, came out on stage and told us he was going to rip our heads off and shit down our necks. Picks up this black Gibson Byrdland.......and does just that! He also spoke out loudly against drugs and alcohol, we loved him!

    Came leaping out, jumps off his amp and starts rockin some Wang Dang Sweet Poontang...as his first song! We were rockin! We were rollin.

    Uncle Ted was one of the first concerts I ever saw. Dereck St Holmes had a great voice, and Ted's guitar made me deaf for three days.....GREAT concert!

    Saw him back in 1976. Someone tossed a frisbee and it hit him in the head. He stopped playing and said, "Bring whoever threw that to me." Practically started a riot. Love his music, not his politics. I will add this however, if he played crazy to get out of the Nam, he deserves no praise.

    Didn't you find this comment by Nugent in the least bit interesting OS?

    This is the very stuff that Palin is attracted to..so much it inspired her own gun related signs and messages and accompanying gun rhetoric.

    Nope this thread is not about the congresswoman nor her shooter.
    It's about Palin and Nuget and how one is grasping the others concepts and words and politically "Going Rouge" so to speak.

    Ted Nugent has always seemed a bit unbalanced to me. Good guitarist, albeit a tad overrated.

    What about politicians who spew gun rhetoric that grasp his ideology and accept it as there own and start appearing with him and doing radio shows with him...are they unbalanced as well?
