Christopher Tin's theme song for Civilization IV has become the first video game composition to be nominated for a Grammy award. According to Gamasutra, the track 'Baba Yetu' is shortlisted in the 'Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists' category. Congrats to Sid Meier and of course it's composer, Chris Tin!
Took 5 years to get this well deserved recognition.. it's a beautiful piece of modern choral music.
BTW, the lyrics are The Lord's Prayer sung in Swahili.
