Biggest lie of 2010: 'Government takeover of health care' 2nd biggest is Bachman

Biggest lie of 2010: 'Government takeover of health care'
First Read - Biggest lie of 2010: 'Government takeover of health care'

Link has entire article !! Does anyone havbe any proof that this is not true , that this is not a lie ??
Domenico Montanaro writes: For the second straight year, the health care overhaul inspired the biggest political lie, according to the independent fact-checking Web site Politifact.

Last year, it was Sarah Palin's claim that there were "death panels" in the bill. The winner this year, is the term "government takeover" used by multiple Republicans, including incoming Speaker John Boehner.
Second place was Rep. Michele Bachmann's claim that President Obama's recent overseas trip to India would cost $200 million a day.

And in the great new family,

    With softly spoken, kindly word
    Remember also me."

Wasn't "this bill is paid for" or "you can keep your current plan" on the ballot?

Actually, the biggest lie of 2010 was:

Leave it to the Republicans, when they want to destroy something that helps Americans, they don't stop at anything.

Bachmann's claim that Obama's trip to India was going to cost $200 million a day takes the cake! No wonder they like Palin so much, she can match her brain against Bachmann's.

Bachmann is even going to be on the intelligence committee? I guess they'll just use her as a barometer to determine what not to do or believe!

Is that the full sentence that Pelisi said Gunne...or was she cut off in mid sentence to change her meaning?

Eh........the lie got what it wanted.........public option out.

Instead of actually debating healthcare, the Democrats fell for the talking points and ended up trying to address the strawman arguments.

I'm kind of bummed none of the whoppers about Canada's health insurance made the short list.

I guess they didn't want to sound shrill by harping on the same grade-2 level liars again and again and again.

There is nothing in the bill that make you change plans. Since most people get their group health through their employer if their employer drops a plan how is that the fault of "THE BILL"?

The biggest lie was that the bill was a health care bill when it was a health care insurance financing bill. The Dems lost the battle when they lost the rhetoric war and let the Repubs name it a health care. The Demos didn't explain to the public the basic concept of insurance which is spreading the risk over large numbers and they failed to expalin it in basic layman terms. In order to pay for dropping the pre-existing condition you need large numbers of insureds. Since insurance is regulated by the staes and not the feds it took the states a long time to drop the pre-existing clause but that was only dropped for group policies. You see it's back to basics eg large numbers are needed to spread the risk and that is what is needed to spread out the lcosts of paying for the pre-existing conditions. That is why pre-existing condition ellimination works for groups but all of who are part of the group actually pay for coverring the pre-existing conditions. Individual policies there is no large group to sread the risk over over therefore that is why they came up with these insurance exchanges. The insurance exchanges are to act as large groups in that if virtaully everyone has to carry insurance and if you cannot get it from a group your "group" becomes the exchnage. AND EVERYONE WHO BUYS THROUGH THE EXCHANGE pays for the pre-existing conditions of the few.

See there "ain't no free luch".
