Anyone else see this as a sham by the GOP intended to appear consistent on deficit spending & shift the onus onto the Dems for pushing this through?
(back to my schoolyard bully analogy: Now the bully (GOP) not only is demanding our lunch money, he wants us to thank him...... like he's doing us a favor by taking it!)
I say call their bluff ! (House Dems should vote against this tax cut capitulation to the GOP & make THEM vote it into law. (make the Repubs own it!)

The Dems shouldn't be happy with it. (the only way the GOP will agree to do what's best for this country (extend middle class tax cuts & unemployment) is if we cave in to a give-away to the rich that will hurt the economy, add to the deficit & that we can't afford?)
At least make the GOP supply the votes to pass this ransom money abortion of a bill!

I agree. He's got to start appealing to his base again & stop these capitulations to the GOP who only want to destroy him anyway.

Edit: This quote from your link sums up the whole attitude of the GOP: "Senate Republicans say that the compromise they worked out with the White House is non-negotiable."

What else is new? GOP hypocrisy and double talk. The GOP is disgusting.

So we are at a point where basically EVERYONE in the country hates this bill (including me). So why the hell is anyone even cosidering passing this pile of crap? I hope the House shoots it to shit and flushes it down the toilet. Let the CONS prove they can Govern in 2011. I'm sick of the CONS controling everything even when they are a minority. This is ridiculous.
