Cool This IS A Little Weird I Think...........

In the mail yesterday I got a routine letter fromMassachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. I have annuities, bonds, mutual funds and other financial instruments with them and I occasionaly gets these letters asking i update my profile information with them, routine stuff like my address, e-mail, phone numbers, etc. etc.
This year, and mabe previous years, this question kinda' leaped out at me; "Are you a senior political figure or related to a senior political figure?

Why would they ask me that question? Would I be privy to "special" information not necessarily made available to others if I were to answer YES to that question instead of NO?
    Anyone have any thoughts/comments?

Very odd. Disturbing actually, why the hell would they need to know that?

Not saying you should do this, but I'm with Ted, I'd check "yes" and see what happens.

If your premium goes though the roof, will they believe you when you complain? Come to think of it, they might say you lied on your application and reject you for insurance. That could cause you to fall foul of other companies with the standard "Have you ever been refused insurance?" question.
