is this weird?

i took my son to the dmv to get his drivers license this morning before work. im sitting outside waiting for him when i see him pull out of the parking lot with the officer in my car. all of a sudden i started crying. i instantly got all these images in my head of the day he was born, the day he first walked, the first day of kindergarten...etc. i dont know if its a mom thing or i was just emotional at the time, but it sure did surprise me when i realized i was crying.

anyhoo, i was just wondering if it was just me or has that happened to anyone else?

and yes, he passed his test.

Congrats & yes...it's a Mom thing. (a dad thing would be to start crying when he pays the driving school bill!)

side-note: I was a driving instructor as a part-time/after-school college job in the late 1960's.

well, when i took mine, it was part of our school curriculum so it was free.

Mine too! (my High School offered driving lessons, but not all do)

they dont offer them at all here anymore. you have to go take an 85 dollar class.

My youngest grandson is starting driving school this year & I think it's over $700.00 for the course!

Women! I got all choked up and teary eyed when I saw what mine getting his driving license did to my freakin' car insurance bill.
