Thread: What the hell is wrong with people?

I would like to say that it's the full moon but that thought waned. There are just times when people do real bad things to the most defenseless or vulnerable. It is stories like those that make me want to choke anyone who is against the death penalty.

The death penalty isn't going to bring that baby back.. Perhaps letting the mother live knowing she killed her own child is worse than the peace that comes with death.. The death penalty isn't always the best or worst punishment.. Life can be far worse than death..

The human species is truely one of the worst.. What we do to our own kind is horrible.. Oddly enough, while many praise themselves as being smarter than animals, animals don't seem to have these issues.. Maybe we are not as evolved and smart as we might think.. Perhaps the phrase should be 'Dumb humans!' as opposed to 'Dumb animals!'..

Mankind has been like this since his existence.. This is nothing new.. From millions of innocent people tortured and murdered during WWII, including women and children.. Man has always had a reason to hate and slaughter eachother.. Reasons like religion, greed, and the desire to control your fellow man..

It isn't an issue of what is wrong with people.. It is what isn't wrong with people.. Where is it in our species that makes do these horrible things to eachother?? Is in our DNA?? Is it that we aren't evolved enough to handle the responsibility of our own intelligence?? I tend to think the latter..

I am against the death penalty.. Two wrongs don't make a right no matter how you look at it.. The death of the baby was tragic.. But the death of the mother isn't going to change that either..

People that abuse their own babies/children deserve to go to hell. Nothing is worse than hurting an innocent baby.

I especially am disturbed emotionally when I hear of children being hurt. My wife and I lost a baby boy as an infant becasue he was born with a heart condition and all of the operation and medical actions and prayers, and hope did not work. That to this day has shook my fath in God and if I ever see that Commander In Chief I will drag his sorry butt into a conference room and and he is not leaving until he explains to me WHY ???

Anyone who hurts a child is lower than bacteria.....

So sorry to hear of you & your wife's loss. How horrible.
