    Cowards after 9/11

I know, its long passed but remembered this. One thing that pissed me off to no end after 9/11 is all the cowards that were too scared to fly, too scared to go out in public, which severely hurt our economy.

Everybody waiving the flags but too scared to do the most patriotic thing you could of done other than enlisting, and that is to continue to go about your business and give a big F you to the terrorist.

Granted, those that lost loved ones were mourning, I can see them not going about business as normal.

Considering we had just been attacked and no one knew what was safe ... it was understandable.

It really wasn't. For one, the odds of it happening again, and the exact spot you were going to be was high. also everybody was super vigiliant, security was upgraded immensely. I'm not talking about that day or a few days after, but long after it continued

I didn't fly before so that didn't change. But for those who did fly, I can understand the apprehension.

It's funny, London and Madrid were also attacked. Death and carnage on the rails. Promises of more to come. Australians were also blown up in that Bali nightclub. India parliment building was blown up. Canada has spoiled both the attacks planned against us... we're the only country on OBL's list he read off of coming targets that has yet to be successfully attacked.

I haven't heard a damn thing about any of those attacks since the month after they happened. And I'm pretty sure there's mosques right there around all of the sites. Can't throw a rock in London or madrid without hitting one I'm sure.

It's just that noone's throwing rocks.

I can tell you for a fact that the people of Colorado Springs didn't hide away in their homes as you suggest. Maybe your perception was colored by your Liberal Denver neighborhood, eh?

Ah yes, Colorado Springs, the epicenter for Islamic Extremist activity and the citizens go bravely about thier business regardless of the personal risk to themselves. Truly the model for the rest of America to emulate. What frosted my cake was Bush telling us to go shopping. He really had an opportunity to get Americans involved, unified and to ready us to share sacrifice (initiatives to decrease dependence on foreign oil for example) and we were told to go fucking shopping and then would not allow American forces to to pull the trigger on Bin Laden when we had him in our sights - that Jo Jo Gunne is fucking pathetic. Sorry Doc but, that's my rant on 9-11.

Just goes to show how you don't read the threads you post to, eh? I stated before where I'm located and I frequently post articles from a local news station.

BTW, what is "the fundy capital of the world"? Is that some secret Denver Liberal term? Or did you just make it up?

Granted the reasonable drop in commercial air travel/commerce after 9/11, the industry as a whole regained confidence and has climbed at a steady rate shortly after 9/11. You can find this information for yourself at: RITA | Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) (Data And Statistics > Airline Traffic Data).

System Passenger - Revenue Passenger Enplanements (Sep 2001 - Sep 2010)

    Sep 2001 - 34,799
    ...
    May 2010 - 61,912

This country isn't full of cowards that hide from terrorists. What an insulting insinuation --but typical coming from the blame America first liberals.
