I'm a big fan of peanut butter and maple syrup on pancakes. Works with waffles too in a pinch.
But then again, I'm 5'11 and about 220 pounds... so there's some win some lose some there.

my dad used to mix pb and syrup in a bowl and sop it up with bread.

Apple pancakes made with freshly picked Cortland apples....I have tried to replicate my Mom's apples pancakes ! But unfortunately I have been banned from the kitchen by my wife ... there some allegation that I caused the fire on the stove a fews years ago and then there was the fire in the microwave which I got blamed for only because I was the only one using it at that time....... then I was accused of blowing up the garbage disposal jsut becaseu I was forcing batches of extra cukes from the garden down it .... I get balmed for everything so I only cook outside on the grill these days...
