    WND Back to school essentials

    WorldNetDaily Exclusive
    Back-to-school essentials from WND
Get the learning products your kids need to be responsible, self-governing citizens
    --WND

It's back-to-school time, whether your children go to public or private schools or you're their teacher at home.

Either way, your kids need the essentials of a classical education – one they surely won't get in a traditional school.

The WND Superstore has many of the essential resources you and your kids need.

It starts with the Bible – and there's a great selection of low-cost choices.

Then there are great Bible study resources.

Here's something your kids won't get for sure in a traditional school – "Nothing From Everything: The Impossibility of Atheistic Evolution" by Ray Comfort. You don't want your kids believing they are the products of random chance and millions of years of evolution.

The Constitution of the United States! Every child, no matter what age, should be grounded in the Constitution. Make sure your child has a pocket copy for only 99 cents.
Here are some other great products that make politically incorrect learning fun:

"Help! Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper"

Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed"

Help! Mom! The 9th Circuit Nabbed the Nativity"
Would you like to provide some historical perspective on the 20th century and the battle for freedom? There's no better way than the remarkable documentary, "In the Face of Evil." Joseph Farah calls it one of the most important films ever made.

As for classic, don't forget C.S. Lewis' "Letters to Children" and "Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan There are plenty of other classic essentials to be found here.

I like my news sources to be constantly, constantly, trying to sell me their shit.

When I click on a news story... I want that news story to be a paid advertisement, and I want the author of that news article to sell his books on the same website as the news article.

Is that so hard to find these days?

Not at all. As a Christian, I'd have no problem with providing my child a Bible, or Bible study guide if they want to take one to school to read during study hall, etc.

But please, tell me one other book, pamphlet or other publication in the list that Shawnee posted, with the exception of the Constitution, that the kid's going to need, or be required to read in any school, outside a fundamentalist Christian, Tea-Party home-school.

You do know that even Catholic schools teach evolution in science class these days, right?
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.

The other, of course, involves Hobbits and Orcs.

I did not know that, as a teacher i believe they should. there is much I was unaware of. You are a christian? You are a moderate? I would not have guessed any of that when you posted on whistlestopper. Tho I consider myself an athiest I generally like christians and tend to feel protective of them when I perceive unfair generalizations from liberal/leftist oriented posters on forums. You, are a christian? You are a mod? I have much to ponder.

LOL, I thought the same thing!

Of course, no “Help! Mom!” book would be complete without a pants-suit clad Hillary stirring up trouble. This time she joins her Hollywood pals to tell children what to do and decide what’s best for families.
Damn those women in pants! Who do they think they are!

I don't have time for anything but a quick perusal, we're moving my son to his first apartment. He's starting his masters program this fall. First impressions, it's a little weird, but I do like alan keyes.
