    Republicanism and Revolution in America

It's interesting to compare Reagan and dubya. Reagan was mentally incompetent and dubya was intellectually dismal, but at least Alzheimer’s Ronny could learn his lines. That was beyond dubya. It is interesting to compare them historically to Louis XV of France and George III of Britain. Louis XV was addicted to sex and became a syphilitic. George III was mentally incompetent and his reign was managed by others. Both nations suffered revolutions as a consequence of the social neglect. France, the French Revolution. The Brits lost the American Revolution. In the 1960’s there was a revolution of sorts, but authorities learned some lessons and were able to manipulate America during the last republican reign. If O’Bummer does not chicken out worthwhile change can happen again. The public is ready to throw out the military-industrial-complex that Eisenhower said was such a threat. Thank God for liberals. Without liberals there wouldn’t even be the universal franchise.

Are you being serious or is this some sort of sarcasm wrapped in smoke ?
' Oh bury me, then rise ye up
    And break your heavy chains
And water with the tyrants' blood
    The freedom you have gained.
And in the great new family,
    The family of the free,
    With softly spoken, kindly word
    Remember also me."

Paragraph one is my take on America. The post is one theory about what can happen when people become disenfranchised, leaders become mere figureheads and the state is ruled by committees set on self-aggrandizement. Debate it or not, your choice.

Maybe politicsforum.com only prefers debates that attract big "attaboys" from competing mutual admiration societies? If I have stumbled onto a website that does not permit abstract argument or argument not recognizably republican or democrat, please forgive me. I am starting to get that feeling. When many posters don't recognize a position from their own home-town blog it seems to generate tremendous hostility, and management seems to jump to their support. Perhaps that is now the American way?
