    Movie recommendations

    This is the place to recommend movies.

    Here is a movie that I would recommend that might not be so well known, especially outside of Britain.

    I'm in the middle of a post-apocalyptic film marathon these last coupe weeks. I watched a recent movie called The Road (based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book of the same name), which was surprisingly good. It's about a man and his son traveling to the sea to seek a way to survive in a dead Earth. I'm not posting the trailer since it doesn't do the film justice, just watch it.
    I have close friends who are atheists.
    In the main I find them thoughtful, well-educated and generally happy.
    They even bathe on a regular basis.

    I just watched Moon as well. The concept (mining He-3 for fusion reactions) and the title are dumb, but the movie itself is a keeper.

    this is an excellent movie. i don't think it played much at all outside of England. what a shame.

    Antichrist: directed by Lars von Trier stars Willem Defoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg she won the Cannes best actress award for her performance this year in this film.

    I will check that out. I really like Charlotte Gainsbourg. She is in the Science of Sleep, which I really liked. She was also very good in 21 grams.
