    That's funny, because both my wife and I got big fat raises this year as well as bonuses! In fact, I am planning on trading in my current vehicle for a new one next week.

    My company is very conservative and my wife works for one of the "evil oil" companies. It has paid off well for us. Of course, we actually have to work hard and earn our pay. However, I am not "rich" regardless of what Obama may think.

    I hope you're using cash from your big fat raises to combine with your trade-in value so you can purchase the car outright and not owe on it... to do anything else when you can afford to not have the debt would be just silly.
