If President Obama thinks that he is going to score points with the American People by taking on Rush Limbaugh, he's in for a surprise. Rush Limbaugh is the mouthpiece for the Republicans and he sets the mood and spirit for much of the Republican Voting-Base. While he doesn't speak to the grassroots activists that listen to Glen Beck, he speaks to the business owners and the suburban families, the ones with the money, the ones that vote. When the President lifts Rush Limbaugh up to the heights of enemy number one, he increases Limbaugh's popularity, increases Limbaugh's reach and he makes Limbaugh an even more legitimate authority amongst the opposition.

    Politico

"Well, I think that when you listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, it's pretty apparent, and it's troublesome, but keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out," Obama said. "It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious and people are feeling like there is a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans. I think the vast majority of Americans know that we're trying hard, that I want what's best for the country."

But this isn't true. A majority of Americans know that President Obama doesn't want what is best for the country. He wants what's best for Obama and a handful of political elites in Washington DC. Obama is a Marxist and he is totally out of touch with the American Mainstream. This is why his poll numbers have been steadily moving down over the last year.

When Democrats went on the offensive against Limbaugh a year ago, he told POLITICO that the administration was "enabling" him. “They are expanding my profile, expanding my audience and expanding my influence," he said. "An ever larger number of people are now being exposed to the antidote to Obamaism: conservatism, as articulated by me. An ever larger number of people are now exposed to substantive warnings, analysis and criticism of Obama's policies and intentions, a ‘story’ I own because the [mainstream media] is largely the Obama Press Office.”

Obama is punching and kicking a tar baby, and Limbaugh is begging, "Please, President Obama, don't throw me in the brier patch". For all of Obama's political acumen, he is making an amateur mistake here.

Why would a tar baby want to be thrown into a briar patch? That doesn't make any sense. He'd stick to the briars. I think it's the rabbit that wants to be thrown in the briar patch, isn't it?

I have no idea what you do with a tar baby. In fact, I don't even know what what a tar baby is, but I'm pretty sure wherever you throw it, it would stick.

When Obama was running, I only listened to Rush once in a while. He was predicting all the things that Obama has done and very accurately. I dismissed it, figuring that Clinton had shown the Dems that you must manage from the Middle. I predicted Obama would turn right.

Sorry, but Rush was right about Obama. Spot-on accurate.

I was wrong. The man is the most powerful extremist to occupy the white house in my lifetime.
    August 28, 2008 - Obama nomination speech

"let me spell out exactly what that change would mean if I am president...I'll eliminate capital gains taxes for the small businesses and start-ups... I will cut taxes...many of these plans will cost money, which is why I've laid out how I'll pay for every dime..I will also go through the federal budget line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work"

No, it is not. It's the truth. Look at Obama's poll numbers. Look at the last three Gubernatorial Elections. Consider the vast increase in activism aimed at defeating President Obama's agenda. Look at Limbaugh's ratings and his contract. Every time the Democrats go after Limbaugh, it backfires on them. I'm not bashing the President here. As I've said before, I believe that Obama has excellent political acumen. This tactic, however, is a huge mistake.

Do I like Limbaugh? Yes, but not because I am a Republican. I'm a Libertarian. I listen to Neal Boortz when I want to hear someone reflecting my own point of view. Limbaugh, however, is the most intelligent and competent voice coming out of the Republican miasma. When I want to hear the most credible and intelligent Republican ideas, to see where the Republican Party might move to next, I'll listen to Limbaugh. He sets the pace, the goalposts, and the tone. If you want to know what the Christian Conservatives are up to, listen to Hannity. If you want to see what the angry, grassroots, political activist crowds are up to, listen to Glen Beck. If you want to know what committed limited-government people with an actual historical perspective are into, listen to Boortz (that is my partisan nod).

Jeez, he's still around? I don't listen to "talk" radio or watch cable news or follow their "talent".

Rush is nothing more than a front man for the NeoCons, Hell if it had been Bush that had wanted healthcare, or Immigration he would have said it is a great day for the Republic. That being said Obama is forcing his own agenda through and it isnt socialism it is Fascism. There is a fundamental difference, the only way things are going to change is to elect 3rd parties until then we are finished.

In my opinion it is to late most people are fundamentally brainwashed to believe that this is all good for them and that we are going to get more free goodies from our god the gov.

Chad, why do you think they wear his T-Shirts? College Students aren't ignorant. They know what they support and what they reject. They wear them because he was a brutal racist killing machine. Give them some credit.
