    Donald Trump tops Teabagger poll

Trump Tops Tea Party Polls, to Speak at Tax Day Rally

You can tell a political movement's serious when it invites Donald Trump to be the keynote speaker on tax day.

That's what the Tea Partiers have done. Trump will appear at "The South Florida Tax Day Tea Party" on April 16 at Sanborn Square in Boca. Read the news release here, wherein Everett Wilkinson, chair of the South Florida Tea Party, says: "In every poll the tea party [sic] had, Donald Trump came out number one. America is tired of giving speeches. We want to hear from people that have proven business experience. This should be an exciting day for America."

Congrats Donald! You stole the racist birthers away from Sarah!

Trump is a very appropriate speaker, because he has avoided taxes (and all his other obligations) for years. He is a perfect figurehead for those who want everything this nation has to offer, but don't want to pay a penny for it.

I can see how avoiding taxes is an appealing attribute to the BirtherBaggers.

I just heard part of an interview he did today and he explained that the reason he hasn't officially declared his candidacy is that if he does that, NBC will have to cancel his show, the Apprentice.

Well, there is saving this country from itself and then there is saving this country from itself at the expense of a semi-successful television series. Obviously, the Donald knows how to prioritize.
As a Democrat, I take solace in the fact that the Republicans have nominated the guy who lost the nomination to the guy who lost the presidency to the guy who is now the President.

Of course avoiding taxes and fighting against tax increases are a worthy and righteous activities!

The way they throw money away and waste money in the government, the only honorable thing to do is to pay as little as possible.

I think it's reasonable to assume Donald Trump couldn't afford to run even if he wanted to. Since his casinos and hotels have suffered losses, he's declared bankruptcy 3 times on his real estate ventures, the only reliable income he's got is his television show. If he had to give that up, he wouldn't be able to make his alimony payments.
