    The Tax Man is Coming!

You know the Democrats sure like to portray themselves as a party of the people, but we know that isn't so. Take (for example) their failure to extend those Bush Tax Cuts for all Americans. According to The Heritage Foundation, in 2011, the first year tax hikes will result in 238,000 fewer jobs and 40 billion loss in total GDP. In 2016, there will be 800,000 fewer jobs and a loss of 135 billion loss in GDP in that year alone.

According to the Heritage Foundation, the Democrats and the Left would like you to believe that this their tax increases will only affect the rich, but that isn't so. Take Mississippi for example, they stand to lose 5,911 jobs and $1,818 less in disposable income per person. Take Maryland, 13, 983 jobs will be loss and the average person will stand to lose $6,848 in dispoable income as well. And, don't forget how these tax increases will affect small businesses as well. The average non-farm small business filing using the individual tax code will see a tax increase of about $3,500. These facts are from the Center of Data Analysis.

So, for any Democrat who wants to still stand on that dream that their taxes aren't going up, check out the Heritage Foundation web site (Heritage.org) and find out the truth.

THE TAX MAN IS COMING PEOPLE.

    HOW ABOUT THAT FOR CHANGE?

I thought it an odd strategy for them to wait to vote on the tax cuts until after the election. There is a chunk of the electorate that is going to vote for folks that will vote to extend all of them. Not sure how many voters that actually comes out to, but I thought it was risky.

I don't think it is risky, pretty smart if you see if from another perspective. I believe they will "negotiate a compromise" wherein the corporate tax deferrals will remain but personal taxes won't be touched. Now imagine telling your constituents that just before election day.

The Democrats never met a tax they didn't like! So, it is no surprise that they should punt on this issue. WHAT LEADERSHIP!

Well from this voters standpoint, that would just be empty talk. They ahould have put it up for a vote, had debate, and shown the people up and down who voted for what. Then they could have used this month to explain their position to their constituents and why. Telling me what you are going to do without mentioning it publicly prior is a waste of my time.

I disagree. You obviously are so far partisan I don't think that a Democrat could possibly come up with an idea that you thought was good. I am not a Democrat and don't generally believe in their tax and spend ways, but I understand where they are coming from just generally disagree with it. I am not so sure where you are coming from anyway, there are little difference right now between democrats and republicans. In fact it could be argued that at least dems are trying to get some money to pay for their plans. The repubs have offered nothing to reduce spending and yet won't increase taxes either, I don't see how we would be any better off with them.

Well I think their time, in their opinion of course, is better spent worrying about their jobs rather than our country.

I DISAGREE!!!!!!!! There is a big difference between the Democrats and the Republicans! The Democrats want tax cuts for lower and middle class Americans - at least that what they say. In policy though they fight for, it is the opposite. But, the real party of tax cuts (GOP) wants tax cuts for all! Remember, it is the wealth who pay most of the taxes anyway. The top 1% pays over 40% of the Federal Taxes. The bottom 45% pay ZERO in Federal Taxes! So, while the Dems like to demonize the wealthy, they still pay more in taxes than the rest of the tax payers. Sorry but those are the facts!

Why do you have such a hard on for lower taxes? You like bigger deficits? I have yet to hear ANYONE in Washington talk about cutting budgets. Republicans aren't that bright are they? I mean we already spend more than we bring in and now they want to bring in less with no explanation? Sounds pretty stupid to me. makes me want to go straight line democrat when I vote. Hey, but some will fall for it hook.......................line................... ........and sinker.

Let me give you a little history about taxes and lowering the deficit. When George W. Bush came into the White House, he inherited the Clinton recession. In order to spark new economic growth, he cut taxes that over 2/3 rds of his administration brought about higher tax receipts for the government. So, for those who forgot, we brought about real GDP growth while paying down the deficit. Where things went wrong is, we as a country spent too much money over the Bush years.

Oh, by the way, it is our (the peoples) money. NOT BIG GOVERNMENTS! Let the peole keep their money! They know better than big government what to do with their money!
