US Budget: Add/Drop

Name one thing you would add if you could, and one thing you'd drop.

I'd funnel DOE funding and add more to it to the establishment of grant/charter schools.

I'd also drop all Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Drop all social programs (i.e. health and human services, anything to do with housing, medicine or food [except the FDA]) That's about 60% of the budget. I'd add a minimum 10% of all revenue be paid toward the national debt.

it would be nice to think cuts in any programs will help.

Listen peeps, in Greece the austerity is run amok, and in large areas the official unemployment rate is 70%. That should clue of us in, please do waste the opportunity. BTW I find it odd that the trillions in bailouts aren't mentioned.....

i think he meant from the budget not extra spending.

To late? we are just putting things down to eliminate. you could have said it. but you just asked. Sorry that when someone writes that statement in the form of cutting things from the BUDGET we answer with things that are in the budget. Call me crazy. That's just how i think

I would cut everything in half, and shut bases down around the world.
