No they don't. From your article.

The report states: “Observations show that warming of the climate is unequivocal. The global warming observed over the past 50 years is due primarily to human-induced emissions of heat-trapping gases. These emissions come mainly from the burning of fossil fuels … with important contributions from the clearing of forests, agricultural practices, and other activities.”

You posted a snip from a report not done by this group, but by another group that made the claim, they say no.......

Heartland and its ally AmericanEnergySecurity.com are also flogging an 800-plus-page report, “Climate Change Reconsidered ,” from the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC)—kind of an anti-IPCC, get it?—which, of course, proves conclusively that global warming probably isn’t happening; if it is happening, it’s not due to human activity; and, besides, a “warmer world will be a safer and healthier world for humans and wildlife alike.”

That's right. I posted a portion of a study that contradicts your opinion that global warming is not man made.

In addition to discussing the impacts of climate change in the U.S., the report also highlights the choices we face in response to human-induced climate change. It is clear that impacts in the United States are already occurring and are projected to increase in the future, particularly if the concentration of heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere continues to rise. So, choices about how we manage greenhouse gas emissions will have far-reaching consequences for climate change impacts.

Clearly global warming is, at least in the large part, man made.

But you stated that the group Mike cited said it was man made.

I would be weary of an article that claims a warmer world would make it safer and healthier for humans and wildlife alike. For humans in climates such as The Yukon or Siberia, yes they would benefit from an increase in farmable land. But an increase in global temperature would indicate in increase in carbon dioxide, which actually have a negative effect on crops, causing them in some instances to become toxic. A higher temperature also means an increase of drought and disease.

Not saying it's a bad article, just be mindful of what you read.

I was watching a nature show the other day, did you know that North America was once covered in large canopy trees and was full of primates. This was in an era where it warmer then today. The trees required that, I almost fell off the couch when they admitted that both primate and vegetation flourished better than it does now.

No, I said that the article which Mike posted references a report offering an opposing viewpoint and which supports the position that global warming is man made.

And in places like Singapore crops are becoming more toxic because of an increase in carbon dioxide and drought.

Sure pesticides and oil based fertilizer have nothing to do with that.

I would love to see less smog, so I vote we have limitations on speaking time for politians.......
