This might be part of California's financial problem

This story can be said for many more cities and towns. Few seem to care. This NEVER should of happened. This was a preventable disease.
Now it's nationwide with little will to stop it.

    Political Correctness is a DISEASE!

    From the L. A. Times
    1.
40% of all workers in L. A.. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people)are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
    2.
95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
    3.
75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
    4.
Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
    5.
Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally
    6.
Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
    7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
    8.
Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
    9. 21 radio stations in L. A. Are Spanish speaking.
    10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
    (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County . )

(All 10 of the above are from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States ' annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue

It is a start, and a damn great one. CA had the 6th largest economy in the WORLD....THE WORLD, larger than 5 complete countries. But the off shoring of jobs took that, the wealth, everything, but what the banks and federal government(they are one in the same), are taking.

    Nice hey?

Economic Roundtable in Los Angeles issued a report in 2005 on what it called "L.A's Off-The-Books labor force." Its research was about the city of Los Angeles, not the entire county, and concluded that there were 3,908,000 wage earners in the city and about 972,000 "informal workers," meaning they were getting paid under the table. It does not break down how many of them might have been illegal aliens, but the percentage was no where near 40 percent. Los Angeles Almanac estimated number of "unreported jobs" in 2005 in Los Angeles County at 643,000 with a number of workers at 4,090.630.

The LA Times reported it but it's all an e-rumor that has fact and fiction mixed together:

Re: This might be part of California's financial problem

It's quite clear no one knows for sure how bad the problem is. Making excuses for it will not help us. I'm 2000 miles away fro California and we have more illegals then ever before. More schools have to be built. The county hospital costs to illegals went from 10 million in 2005 to 15 million just recent. There are so many hispanic kids in grade school now around here. To minimize the problem is beyond idiotic.
Amnesty for these means future SS payments, medicare etc. Then pay in very little in Fed taxes. (low income& large families)

This census will be only a guess. Sanctuary cities deserve to go broke.

Sounds to me like overpopulation is your real enemy Thor. If every illegal Mexican went home we will still have every problem you anticipate resulting from ever increasing populations. We need the one child per family rule instead of scapegoating illegal Mexicans for everything from agoraphobia to zinc deficiency.

WE would have less of it! Cutting back on legal immigration for a period of time might not hurt either. Give us time to absorb them and see where we are at.

It's very apparent the govt is in support of illegals. Just token resistence to give the appearance of dealing with them.
