    That ole global warming again?

"According to Long Range Expert Joe Bastardi, areas from the northern Plains into the Northeast will have a "year without a summer." The jet stream, which is suppressed abnormally south this spring, is also suppressing the number of thunderstorms that can form. The ones that do form in areas of the Ohio Valley and West are forming in places with very cold temperatures, which can lead to more electrified thunderstorms than normal this year."

So I can't wait to hear how the AGW crowd spins this into being cause by AGW.

Well I suspect that your grounding in meteorology and the physics of heat engines is inadequate from what you have posted. The weather is a huge heat engine and adding more energy to the system by solar radiation or retaining heat normally reradiated increases the amount of energy in the system. There are vast reservoirs of cold on the planet in the form of cold water and ice packs, plenty of cold to influence the weather to be colder in some places if the air and water circulation patterns are correct.

But here's a little something else to throw into the hopper.

    Funny Link Mare.

Do you realize that several years ago, Gore was claiming that Co2 causes all those ups an downs and getting a Nobel Peace Prize for his fantasies?

No more or less than yours which is why I don't post my own research but that of qualified scientist.

Yes, are you denying they contribute to the global average temperature or are you claiming we ignore those regions because they don't fit the AGW model?

Hell ND had snow the other day. The sun is in a deep low and you may very well see the coolest summer world wide than has been seen for decades. Of course the warm mongers will claim it is getting warmer, cause Gore said so and hey, he would not make a mockery of the Nobel Peace Prize, would he?!

OUr weather has been great. I just looked at the WeatherUnderground website.
Yesterday we were 81 and today 83, normal is 89. We've been cooler for the last several years.

What's really amazing is not that science gives awards for things, but the fact that science continues to advance and learn new things that invalidate old things AND THEY ADMIT IT. Not like religion where they know everything and never learn anything new.

You're not stupid, why post this way? You know that science is an ongoing pursuit that will learn and grow as time passes--that's why we don't still bleed people to release bad humors--it doesn't mean that the people who bled others were bad or stupid, they just did the best they could.

If you didn't read the funny link then you might consider doing so, so interesting information in it.

No, I'm not. I was noting that you seem to have little grasp of the physics of weather. Blissful, ain't it?

I live in the Ohio valley. If we aren't having summer, how come it's so damn hot and humid right now?

I'm not convinced by the AGW argument, but your logic here is pathetic. Just because the system as a whole warms, that does not mean that all parts of the system will warm. It's called the fallacy of division.

The earth isn't a pie in an oven. There are complex weather dynamics at work and an overall warming can lead to cooling in some areas.

So please, if you are going to make points, at least make a cursory effort to ensure you're not making yourself look like a fool. You only hurt your side of the argument by making a poor one.
