    Social Security Reform

If it were up to you, what would be some things to change about the current Social Security Act to date? I know a few things I would like to make stricter like Welfare, but what about everyone else?

One thing that scares me and I hope is never even considered is Nancy Pelosi's idea to tax recipients of Social Security. I completely agree that there should be some kind of system for retirees to get money that they paid taxes on through their life, but what good would taxing a tax do. That's basically what it is. They paid taxes and followed the rules through their life on the job only to have their living money after retirement be taxed too. It sickens me to tell you the truth.

It makes no sense to me that the money you get from paying taxes all your life should be taxed as well. It's a slap in the face to those who played by the rules and worked hard their entire life.

    Don't "reform" it.

    Kill it.

Since it's unconstitutional, it shouldn't exist.

You're kidding me, right? I'm sure you're aware that Clinton's first tax increase passed the Senate on a tie vote with Al Carbon Credit casting the tie-breaking vote....and that bill taxed socialist security payouts.

The only reform that will come to SS in the future is that you don't get any. You still have to pay mind you.

It's a wonder to me why a big deal was made about Pelosi suggesting it, if it were already in action. My parents are retired and on Social Security, and my mother was ranting up a storm about Nancy Pelosi. Hooked my interest a little into the inner workings of Social Security and trying to find ways to make it a better system.
