I caught this development a couple moths ago with the whole NORTHCOM thing.

Stock up on food, get out of US dollars investments. I would probably be considering moving if I were in the US and wasn't tied to a mortgage or living north of the food belt (winter & snow states). Even then, I would probably take a moderate loss. It's going to boil down to who has the natural resources and manufacturing sectors for trade looking forward. Viable imports v.s exports and all that jazz.

Get some overseas stocks on the cheap, and get your hands on some non perishable commodities in as many forms that will benefit you. Sit and read as long as it takes. Then read about 10 times more than that.

I'm guessing (hoping) there will be mass debt cancellation at some point, but not before it gets rather nasty. It would make the most sense, but I digress.

I would expect some big wartime scenarios to spring up in the upcoming months/years.

I'd stay out of overseas stocks. If first-world markets are risky now, you can only imagine how risky third-world markets must be.
