Income Tax is Slavery by Guilt

So I have come to the conclusion that the income tax is the most heinous form of taxation that exists. Not only am I forced to work roughly 3 months out of the year for the benefit of others, but I'm told that it is my duty and I should accept it. Like the thief who asks you to condone his stealing of your wallet. They attempt to use guilt to keep people in line, making people feel like they deserve the slavery, that they owe some hidden debt to society simply for being born here. And it is designed to make it seem that the more successful you are, the more you owe your success to society. It's like the bible thumpers who believe that anything good that has happened to you is an act of god. It turns virtue into non-virtue. It kills what I call the human spirit. I can think of no more disgusting an act as this.

So I have come, knowing that there are many like-minded individuals on this board. What can we do about it? Is there any kind of serious anti-income tax movement under way that we can support? I'm not willing to take on the IRS just yet, so I will continue paying taxes. But are there any movements out there that have a decent chance of succeeding to repeal this horrible tax? I'm ready for action.

the problem with it is because it is a dis-centive to work. that is it.

but when you are saying that you should feel proud about paying taxes... I mean a tax is a tax, income tax or not, so you will always have to work a few months for other people. (which also includes things for you such as military defence)
I just mean your problem should be with taxes for welfare instead of the income tax specifically.

I have gotten the impression though that most people would like to replace the federal income tax with a sales tax though, but the politicians won't like it because people feel that tax directly when they shop, and it removes their power to give income tax breaks.

Income taxes are really bad for the economy because it reduces people's ability to save by basically taxing our ability to invest! Income taxes are just populus bull, it hurts everyone in the longrun.

I think a tax revolt is coming soon. People feel disenfranchised with the criminal government, and they feel that there is not much hope. Hell even the Obamabots are seeing him and his spending bill for what it is, at least the educated ones.

The problem is it allows liberals to use the tax code for political and social purposes. The tax code should have one singular purpose, raise the bare necessary revenue the government needs to carry out it's constitutional obligations with the least interference with the citizenry and free commerce.

At the least the Flat Tax, better yet the Fair Tax. And end taxes on personal property, when government has the ability to tax your property, your home, and take it from you if you don't pay that tax then you are no longer the owner, you are a renter.

I agree, income tax is slavery but how shall we pay for the debt? The flat tax will hurt those less able to pay, as well as a national sales tax. Tax policy alone will not save our asses we must first stop spending and balance the budget. There are no easy answers but we must stop spending.

Actually it is one of the more truthful ones, it is fairest to the mostest and the least costly.

Nope, the cost of the goods they buy will remain the same and they get a deduction which in the ends exempts them.

But revenue is one half of balancing the budget, and getting the enormous overhead eliminated and adding in the compliance factor of the NST will get us there more assurdly and quicker than the current system.

Well certainly stop this massive increase in this boondoggle bill that has been passed and then just slow the rate of growth will do it.

Here is a full length Documentary.

America: Freedom to Fascism - Director's Authorized Version

It's done by award winning Director Aaron Russo before cancer killed him. We the People Foundation is spotlighted in it. On the Google controls, right click and choose "Original Size" to get rid of the pixelization, it's inflated in size by the player to like triple it's uploaded size.

It's well researched, interviews by some very high up people in the Tax department including the guy who wrote the tax code, and you get to hear that guy say the Supreme Court is irrevelavent when it ruled the 16th Amendment imposes no new taxes on the population.

And I love the sign on Ron Paul's desk, he was interviewed before he started to run for president. "Don't Steal. The Government Hates Competition."

Make sure ya got a couple of hours to watch it. This is truly full length.

Are you talking about a NST or a flat tax? If a NST how will purchases not increase?

But revenue is one half of balancing the budget, and getting the enormous overhead eliminated and adding in the compliance factor of the NST will get us there more assurdly and quicker than the current system.
How can you accurately gauge what sales will be? What enormous overhead are you speaking of?

No it will not. Where is your proof it will? This boondoggle is no different than the Bush boondoggle. Slow the rate of growth of what? If we freeze everything at current levels we still have over 54 trillion of unfunded liabilities.
