"Hey, who could we put out there to show how bad things are with the Obama administration? Hmmmm.

Oh yeah! Let's bring out the most reviled and repugnant of the Bush administration and put him up against a likable old goof!"

Washington (CNN) -- Vice President Joe Biden and his predecessor Dick Cheney sparred Sunday over terrorism and the Iraq war, duking it out on the most prominent of platforms: the political TV talk show.

In separate appearances on different programs, Cheney called the Obama administration "dead wrong" about al Qaeda and Iraq, while Biden accused Cheney of trying to "rewrite history" and downplay Obama's actions against terrorism.

I agree....Kinda like Darth Vader vs Jolly Old St. Nick!
He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

Cheney certainly has the edge on "ooga booga" but Biden's just got something about him that makes you think he knows he could easily punch out Cheney, but he keeps his cool.

To this end, it is my belief that when pollution is found, it should be halted at the source, even if this requires stringent government action against important segments of our national economy."

How do these shows operate.....anybody know? Do they call the RNC and request a challenger? Is somebody actually supposively using Cheney as the face of the RNC?

You put this on the 'Republicans' yet I am not so sure he represents main stream Republicans. So who is actually showcasing him?

I mean it could be the media themselves grabbing someone that could negatively portray (albeit unknowingly) the Republican party as their representative to make them look bad. Hmmm......I don't know, do you?

I think when you talk to Cheney followers you are probably talking to Rush followers and I don't see them as mainstream.

I think Cheney's only making noise to keep himself in the limelight.

If he's going to run in '12, he'll need to remain a household name.

Cheney has absolutely zero intentions of running for any political position.
