Obama on TV right now: "Only the US government has the resources available to jolt the economy right now."

What resources does the government have, besides guns?

And while on this topic, he needs to go with less fear and more hope. Most of us are pretty sick with the fear tactics to scare us into doing the wrong thing after 8 years of Bush/Cheney.

The government can borrow money from the next generation without trying to get the plan past a cynical board of directors with tons of smarts.

Well lets see they have the media which they use to promote fear "We must pass this stimulus package or things are going to be worse"

They have a printing press, somehow they still have China and a few other countries that are willing to purchase our T-bills albeit short term treasuries, which will bite us in the ass soon enough.

So that is about all I know that they have unless I am missing something.
