    This is the far left

You all on the right might find you have more in common with them than the center Democrats on the big issues.

“At a time when millions of Americans are losing jobs, homes, and pensions, our government is prepared to give another trillion to the banks. We are ready to compound the moral hazard by nationalizing banks, which are allegedly profit-making entities.

“This is anti-democratic. Instead of nationalizing banks, we should nationalize the money system by placing the Federal Reserve under the U.S. Treasury, end the fractional reserve system and stop banks from lending credit into circulation. Then instead of borrowing money from the banks and creating debt, government can spend the money into circulation to rebuild and restore America with money for jobs housing, healthcare and education I will soon be introducing legislation to accomplish this.

“Banking is not a proper function of the government, but oversight is. The Treasury Department should not be outsourcing to the Fed its oversight responsibilities. The Fed, which failed miserably to oversee the banks, should be put under Treasury instead.

“Its time for the government to operate in the public interest, not in the interest of private banks. Its time to stop bailing out banks and begin building up America.”

Kucinich is a smart guy. A little wierd, but smart.

You don't have to be a partisan, to see the truth.

These issues stopped being partisan a long time ago.

They're American issues, not partisan issues.

Kucinich is right - and I mean, during this election, he was sayin' a lot of the same stuff that Ron Paul was!

Don't let Obama get your guard down - this equation is about Statists, and non-Statists.

Kucinich and Paul are on one side, McCain and Clinton are on the other, and it's not entirely clear where Obama is. He's kind of a strange hybrid, as near as I can tell - a "mutt", like me!

I do not care how they get rid of the FED as long as they do it. If the government done as suggested and did not spend anymore than was budgeted their would be little inflation and no interest sapping our productive capability. The currency could then be backed by gold and silver once again and states could print their own currency as well in lew of raising taxes to build state projects.

Now Anonnymous, didn't you know that there was something in the air inside the Capital Beltway that causes all logic to fly out the window? It's Washington DC, man, the LOGIC FREE ZONE! What you just talked about is just not possible there!!

I have always thought of Kucinich as a left LEANING Libertarian. Paul and others have been saying this for along time. We are at a pivotal point in this country. It is too damn bad that we have the well entrenched establishment mucking things up. it is very sad that we have the same folks that aided and bedded the criminal behavior that lead up to this crash. It is my opinion that it is extremely scary that people do not see it, and when anyone says anything about it, the brainwashed minions claim that by saying something derogative is cheerleading for failure, or even going to the extreme of claiming that the voice of opposition come from a, and I quote, Bad Citizen.

I bet those type will blame the voice of reason when they lose their homes and jobs.

Hey BlueNeck, I will say that the right has nothing in common with the left. Do you hear me? The right stands for the good in the world. The left stands for the bad. Pretty simple!

I listened to him speak for about an hour last night on CSPAN. He's sponsoring a bill to extend Medicare to everyone who wants it. I know a lot of people would think that would be disaster, but adding younger, healthier people to the program would make it more viable, and it would relieve the burden of health care costs from business.

We are going to end up with a certain amount of socialism anyway, a not for profit health care system doesn't strike me as the worse place to have it.

At any rate things aren't working the way they are, I'd rather see our government dollars being used for something people need instead of financing wars and building prisons.

Your simplistic world-view is one reason why we're so screwed up.
