The guy had so many chances to say he screwed up. And had he done that, I would feel sad for him.

You are absolutely right. And that speaks about character more than anything else. Even the worst offenders are capable of being forgiven, if they want to change as people. But to change, one must admit their shortcomings and mistakes.
People aren't good or bad, imo. People change, and Bush never did.
He simply carried out an agenda that was not beneficial to the world, only his close knit circle. And it seems evident he sees this as the best he could do, and is not willing to admit any wrongdoing, through the 8 years of his presidency. Not one time did Bush ever say that he made a mistake. Not one.

Your point is well taken. He had an agenda that included giving as much to the wealthy and corporations as he could. Beyound that he had no vision for the rest of America. His strategy to stay in power was to divide and create an environment of fear, it was effective. He and his administration have done more to harm and divide this country than all foreign enemies past and present.
