Blagojevich Names Obama Replacement

Defying U.S. Senate leaders and his own state's lawmakers, Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Tuesday appointed former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris to replace President-elect Barack Obama in the U.S. Senate. Blagojevich, accused of trying to sell Obama's Senate seat to the highest bidder, praised the 71-year-old Burris' integrity and asked that the corruption allegations not "taint this good and honest man."

Fortunately, the Illinois Secretary of State has said that the appointment will not be confirmed.

Blagojevich, in my opinion, has some serious behavioral health issues, in addition to his criminal behavior.

He picked a 71 year old? Let me guess. It was because the guy should croke about the same time he is getting out of prison.....

I'm expecting him to be in jail for about 8 years too.

The guy is foul mouthed, he solicits money with threats, he's willing to sell the Illinois senate seat, and he refuses to step down even after he's caught.

Illinois begins impeachment proceedings and the idiot goes right ahead and trys to appointment a replacement to Obama's senate seat.

The man is a raving lunatic. My advice, claim insanity Rod. Because you are insane.

I'm trying to figure out how the hell he got elected much less re-elected. They have even said the impeachment wasn't even going to include this mess and he was busted with an 8% approval rating.

I love Chicago. I get down there every chance I get. The White Sox are my second favorite baseball team. The Chicago Chop House is one of my favorite restaurants. I never tire of touring the Field Museum. I've taken courses at Northwestern.

That's why I said Windy City. Few outside of Cook and Lake County know that it was named 'windy' because it was referring to the political atmosphere, not the weather.
