This is unfortunate, but not surprising.

Wouldn't it be sweet if he got a stroke and died before he could issue any pardons? Wait, no, then it would be Cheney and that would be worse. Damn you Constitution!!

    I agree.
I hoped that Zar wished a flesh eating disease, contagious only to Bushs' entire lineage and the Cheney family as well.

You know what Tick, I am going to agree with you, for this simple fact.

The people who did this are not the ones giving the orders. If this behavior was condoned by the higher ups, then the ones who did it should not be held responsible.

Kind of like Bush being unworthy to be the president, and Cheney as VP?

I just don't want him to pardon people like Gonzales, that I'm positive are going to get pardoned.

    Hello?

    BUSH LIED.

He told 'em the stuff was "legal", 'cause of some FANTASY his Attorney General concocted.

He even got an "opinion" to that effect.

That's what he used, to proceed, and to issue orders.

    AND to make policy.

If the "just following orders" defense works, why did we prosecute so many Nazis who worked in the death camps during WWII, who were also just following orders?

Tick, it's pathetic that you would think it's ok to torture people just because you hate them. That exception isn't contained in the Geneva convention related to torture. And besides, there are laws in most (all?) states that provide for criminal punishment for people who torture animals.
