California has 37,000,000 people divided by 80 hate groups = one hate group for every 462,500 Californians

Tennessee has 5,900,962 people divided by 38 hate groups = one hate group for every 155,288 Tennessee folk

No offense to anyone in Tennessee. However...if one has the goal to demonize the south for having more hate groups per capita it's easy to do.

To be fair, even your math is flawed as you are assuming the hate group size is a constant. For a fair assessment, you'd need to consider a lot more factors than just number of hate groups and population of the state. If you want to point out someone else's flaws in logic, you should probably avoid introducing more of your own.
