And what you read tends to be the result of a media that focuses on scandals rather than simply delivering the facts. Like it or not unions perform a valuable and vital function in a society - any problems with a union you should blame on the corporation itself, if they acted in an ethical manner towards their workers then there wouldnt be a need for a union.

I'm personally in favor of unions, I just think they've become so corrupt that their flaws now outweigh the benefits.
