The first answer that comes to mind to your question is because they are culpable. If they could pin this on anyone else, they would be trampling each other to hold televised hearings.

Re: Naomi Klein: Why Aren't the Dems Doing Something About the Bailout's crime scene?

Lots of people on the left feel this way about the bailout. Those of us who voted for Obama anyway simply feel that we (Democrats) will do better at cleaning our own house than Republicans. Republicans tend to characterize the far left as evil, when in reality it's the center left (and center right) that are doing all the stupid shit.

First thing we do, get rid of Nancy Pelosi.

I like Naomi quit a bit, but she is partisan. She is hooked on the false paradigm of a two party system. I have heard others try as hard as they can while remaining civil that there simply is no such system. It is frustrating because she seems to be aware of her surroundings.

The Democrats caused the crime, you don't feel (excuse me, I almost accused a cut-and-paster of thinking) that they're going to let anyone look closely at it, are you?

For the record, speaking as a member of the Right (as in correct) faction, I don't generally consider people good or evil based on their politics, other than in the most depraved instances.

I don't, in general even consider people who strongly disagree with me inherently unintelligent (although many are.) I basically consider then to have poor mental habits, or to be the victims of misinformation.

The ideas that they follow may be evil, but it takes a certain act of will I think to be evil.

Both parties caused this problem. Your not stuck in yesteryear and believe that this has anything to do with sub prime mortgages do you? How about this FfA, it is the leveraged funds from the assets loaned many time over, hell the government claims it is 70:1, I say bull shit, and to tell you the truth there is no real way of knowing. Add that to sub prime and you have the start of a problem, but there is more. You have the short selling manipulation of the market, and now a credit freeze. This has been the policy since the federal reserve took this country over, aided by Nixon. You really need to take off the partisan hat once and a while. This problem runs deep and to blame a single party is a mistake.

Ron Paul on this, and it ain't pretty.

The first couple of seconds sound bad but it clears up real quick.

Naomi Klien has a point. I have just noticed so many flip-flop changes from the democratic president-elect. Just noticed Barack Obama flip from his old position of being open to talks to every country to his current; Iran is a 'grave' threat position.

This was disappointing, really was. Let's see what his policies would be like once he takes up office. I am really going to pay attention on his policies and reflect against what was initially proposed for his election.

No, she's tough of the Dems too.
