    Go away Sarah!

Nah, not really, you are just so perky and provide way too much comic relief.

Apparently she is gearing up for a run in '12, but only if God helps her out.

VOA News - Palin Blames 'Status Quo' for Republican Loss in Election

Former U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says she will pursue higher office in the future, if the opportunity presents itself.

During an interview televised Monday night on U.S. cable outlet Fox News, the Alaska governor says her deep religious faith will reveal - in her words - "if there is an open door" for her in politics. Palin says she would "plow right on through" to take advantage of the opportunity, even if it is a premature move.

Palin's name has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Her term as governor expires in 2010.

During the interview, Palin dismissed reports following the election suggesting she was not aware Africa was a continent rather than a country, saying it did not come up during discussions about the region.

It is evident that the right wing Republican party still doesn't get it. Maybe it can be a sobering wake up call when they put this empty populist up on the Republican pedestal to get knocked off swiftly. But even then they still may not get it.

If this is what the party is investing in for 2012, they've become beyond irrelevant.

I find it rather hard to believe that Palin would stand a chance in a republican primary let alone a general election. Would you conservatives here actually choose her over guys like Romney, Huckabee, Guliani or many others who might show up for the contest?

Blue is right. If she wins the repub primary in 2012 the repubs have become irrelevant.

"hey, who should we push for 2012?"

"how about that govenor that lost us the election in '08?"

Obama makes Palin possible, at least for now. If Obama fails miserably, the country may go back to steady old white guys with actual experience for the job. I'd take Gulinani, Hukabee or Romney (in that order) over Palin, but after all, the press elected Obama because it was "historical," ergo Palin.

Why, do you think Hillary will run again?

Now if everybody turned off the TV and just read and pondered and thought about what they were doing, we would not possibly have ended up with Obama or Palin.

Yep! Imagine that - they're lookin' for another PATSY. They're lookin' for someone else they can FOOL into doin' their dirty work. They just discovered they could "groom" Palin, and get her on the hook by givin' her stuff, so..... she's the perfect PATSY, for 2012. Someone they can control, and get their hooks into.

Nah, sorry folks, we don't need a repeat of George W Bush. "God told me to get the Palestinians a state, and that's exactly what I'm going to do". Ha! What a lyin', stinkin' piece of ignorant SCUM that Bushie is... he was the perfect PATSY for the evil Neo-Cons, just like Palin would be if she were elected.

So, yeah.... go home, Sarah. Hang it up. You got no chance except with the SHEEPLE, and I mean, you wanna be the governor of a bunch of sheeple, why don't you just stay in Alaska. Those are the clowns that just re-elected Ted Stevens, right? Yep. You and Alaska DESERVE each other. Just keep that kind of politics OUT of MY backyard. We do things a little better here in California. We don't TOLERATE people like that. We kick 'em OUT of office. Let's see, the last scumbag to pull something like that, his name was Gray Davis, and we KICKED his sorry *ss out of office.

And that is what SHOULD happen to Sarah Palin, now that we know who and what she is, BUT, I think the voters in Alaska are a little too.... "different" to do that kinda thing. But yeah, places like Alaska and Louisiana, need to keep their political problems to THEMSELVES, so they don't spread.

    I disagree.

I supported Obama from the start of the primary season. He was clearly better than the rest of the pack, Democrat or Republican. I did not have a brain fart, fall asleep, or blindly follow. I chose the best person for the job in my opinion.

Then you are relying on his obvious intelligence and ability to articulate.

Remove television from the equation and just read the words and the resume and there is no possible way, he's as qualified as Richardson, for example. But Richardson is shorter, fatter and less historical.

I am not saying people are blindly following anything, but we have been and are being subtly massaged by television to admire younger, more attractive and simplified, consistent messaging. All our crime solvers, leaders and heroes are attractive and mostly young.
