There are over 40+ legally registered and existing political parties now. The biggest of them all is the Independent Party. I think like half of New Hampshire is Independent, but they are silenced in the media.
The reason why Ron even switched to Republican is because the last time he ran for President on the Independent Nomination, he had to fight tooth and nail just to get on the ballot in SOME states, not even all. He was locked out of debates, appearences, etc.
Democrats and Republicans have locked out everybody else but themselves. Jesse Ventura I believe is the only Independent politician in office right now, though that is off the top of my head and I am not sure if there is anyone else at the moment.
In my opinion, a truly free country wouldn't stand for a monopoly of Government power between just two parties. I would have loved to have heard from ALL candidates of the other parties who ran for President, and not the handful of crooks that was set up to make you think you had a large selection.
It's slight of hand. Offer 10 rotten pieces of fruit, one or two of them ripe and fresh only, and then get told you had a wide variety to choose from. Especially if a few pieces of those other fruit were actually good, but they sprayed them to make them look rotten.
That is how you're being controlled. Nobody voted for actual change. You voted for the same party that's been around as long as the Republicans, and just as irresponsible.
Off the top of your head, and without looking, can you name one other Presidential Candidate that ran for 2008 and their party and what they stand for? Think about that a moment, then if you start to question your true choices over what you were handed, then you'll begin to understand what I am talking about.
Instead, most everybody else was too busy making a historical moment happen. We really don't need historical moments. We need to get out of this mess or there won't be any more United States left for anyone to be proud about.
Amen brother. That is how you're being controlled. Nobody voted for actual change. You voted for the same party that's been around as long as the Republicans, and just as irresponsible.

Right on guy!
Shoot, I remember telling friends and family that as soon as GW Got into office, any chance he can get, any reason that can be grasped at even paper thin, he'll invade Iraq. When asked why did I think that, it's because his Daddy, when President, had a 25 million dollar bounty put on his head by none other than Saddam himself.
I bet any amount of money that if George W was put on a lie detector, then asked if he invaded Iraq as a revenge tactic for threatening his Daddy's life with a death contract, the "No" would register as a lie.
Well, I was talking actual mess-ups, not what people think. The only way you can test the validity of the war is set up an alternate time line and see what would have happened if we had just kept 30,000 troops in Afghanistan and left Iraq alone. In my opinion, AQ would still be worldwide and causing a lot more trouble than they are now.
The Bush financial policies are likely to have a more far reaching, negative effect.
