You see, it is not that I do not see, because I do. It is that I have respect for the office. If you will notice, because if I do not point it out you will not notice, That my tone toward Obama has changed since he was elected. While I will most certainly continue to disagree with Obama, I will respect him because he is president. Bush in the war on terror thought he was doing the right thing. Since I have little, if any, regard for Islam, I am not willing to charge Bush with mistreatment of them. Their attrosities negate in my mind the possibility of fair treatment. He recognizes that Islam is loaded with inhumane leaders and has treated them accordingly. So you see their are those who have different positions than you, but, you and 505 have hate to warm you on cold nights. Enjoy.

Bush should confound history, and pardon Obama for all crimes and wrong-doings done before January 20, 2009.
Are you starting a club called "Libertarians for the Patriot Act"?

I will respect the office, but I will die before I respect the occupant!

You will respect him just because he is president? True respect is earned, not a given. The title of president is not the same as dictator, fuhrer, or whatever. He is a servant of the people, and if he does a bad job, he doesn't get respect. Thats the way it works.

Failure to uphold the Constitution isn't a crime.

    It should be.

    But it isn't.

Hell I can't spell uch. But I'm smart as a whip. And I have an extraordinary BS antenna. I have no respect for those who would exchange giving up any portion of their rights for safety. They are the ones who would have been loyalists during the revolution.

Therefore no need for a pardon.
Sorry my friend but you are quite wrong. Nixon was never convicted (or even indicted) for anything & yet he was given & accepted a pardon. Here is a transcript of Ford's pardon of Nixon with my emphasis on main parts:

....."Now, therefore, I, Gerald R. Ford, President of the United States, pursuant to the pardon power conferred upon me by Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from July (January) 20, 1969 through August 9, 1974.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seventy-four, and of the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and ninety-ninth."
