    The Obama Administration

So who does everyone think Obama will/should have in his cabinet and staff? I would like to see Kucinich in there eventually somewhere, but he is serving a Congressional term now.

Right now, he is looking at Summers and Emanuel from the Clinton Administration for Treasury Secretary and White House Chief of Staff. I don't like the idea of considering these two. It doesn't exactly constitute "change", but I have discussed the campaign marketing strategy for months.

Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Barack Obama's top priority will be appointing a Treasury secretary and White House chief of staff. The leading candidates: two Clinton administration stalwarts, Lawrence Summers and Representative Rahm Emanuel.

It's unlikely the president-elect can assemble a Cabinet and staff within 10 days as some have advised, say people who have discussed this with him in recent days, all of whom asked for anonymity. Still, given the financial crisis and two wars, Obama, 47, is bound to move more quickly than either of his two predecessors in making key personnel decisions...

I think that aside from the Sec. of Defense there will be a few surprises in the cabinet. I think Axelrod will certainly get a top advisor spot as he should. I am really interested to see who will be involved in the FBI and NSA house cleaning. Both of them need a colonic. I think they will get it.

The NSA and FBI need someone who has respect for the Constitution. That would already be change.

    Re: The Obama Administration

Well, as a minority voter, I will admit to worries over Obama being elected President. I will support him wholeheartedly, though, as I am American and he is the President. My worries are that he won't engage experienced staff to assist, teach, and advise him. So, I think the fact he is looking at two former Cabinet members is a good thing. I think he needs to stay cognizant of those who didn't stand the test of time under the Clinton administration, though. I feel some of them would have attempted to lead President Clinton to a much higher level than he would go (insofar as his personal life), so those are probably two decent picks.
I hope he works a bi-partisan staff. It takes both sides to keep our government solvent and smart.
The items I am most concerned over are Iraq, the economy and retirement. I am not middle class American...I am me and I hope the individuality idea takes hold with him.
I am concerned he doesn't appear to be grieving over Toot. I hope this is not a sign of little or no remorse in special moments of his life. He certainly didn't show remorse for his side of the campaign trashing the Republicans. Now, I am an Unaffiliated voter...always have been and always will be. I must admit I was shocked to find myself so vehement in hoping Obama didn't win. I still find myself filled with trepidation for today and especially, for the future of America.
Prove me wrong, President Obama...prove me wrong!

If more people took this tack America would be a better place indeed. I supported the Obama campaign. I consistently trash the current admin because they have given me every reason to. If the next admin proves equally inept I will give them the same. For now, I choose to hope. I choose to try.
