So, how does the US end?
So, how does the US end?
It doesn't? This election will make or break the United States - either we can continue the reign of conservatism and regress even further or embrace progressivism and join the rest of the Western World.
I guess if you like more wars, the nationalizing of wall street, the same economic principles that gave us the need for a bailout, a growing police state, a broken education system, the draft, a million man stasi force, carbon taxes, no borders, acceptance of an international currency, and headless dogs, then you should have no problem with Obama.
The worst things that will happen:
The stock market will probably drop lower or at least not rise as fast as it could (this will be temporary anyway), we will have a series of rash laws the negative effects of which won't be felt for years to come, the supreme court may be loaded even further with judges who don't read the constitution as written but as they would like it to be written, the media will continue it's biased coverage and few will know the faults of this administration.
On the bright side, there will be a backlash against the MSM and they will lose more market share (unless there are laws put in place to prop up the MSM), Democrats will lose their lead in congress in two years when the public realized they are no better than the Pubs, Hillary will not run in four years (neither will M), but Sarah might and she will have time to answer all the objections charged against her this time, people will also feel that charges leveled last time are water under the bridge, conservatives will regroup and come back stronger (just like the dems did this time) hopefully with more of an emphasis on foundational ideas.
IF we are really lucky Obama will lead us toward progressive policies and people will see the folly of that leading us back toward our constitutional roots.
If we are really unlucky we will lose more of our checks and balances (that we have already been losing) and in many years it will be the end of our republic.
I don't care what happens as long as we get slot machines in Maryland.
