    Wow, that's desperate.

I am sitting here listening to Palin's little talk. Within the last 90 seconds, Palin has assured me, in a near screaming voice, that what she is about to say is not negative campaigning. She just invoked Joe the Plumber (copyright 2008), a proven fraud. She is about to disclose the revalations, discovered here in the 11th hour of the campaign as she puts it, about Obama. The crowd boos more than cheers as she uses the term socialism in some variant at least 8 times. She's used the "thank the Lord" line. She just touted coal as the domestic solution to the energy crisis. This comes just after I viewed the Wright commercial for the first time. She just took a shot at San Francisco, nice. Anyway, a wounded animal is certainly the most vicious. The GOP has no concern whatsoever about maintaining the high road. History is going to be a harsh judge indeed when these practises are reviewed over the years.

The hypocrisy stinks to high heaven.

These are the same people who are concerned about "killing the unborn" while they're out there torturing people and murdering civilians in the name of "collateral damage".

These people have lost their way. It's a shame they still have any support at all.

I predict that one of two things will happen: either a) the real conservatives will bolt the Republican Party and leave it to fester, or, b) the Neo-Fascists will bolt and form their own party, leaving the old school to pick up the pieces.

Either way, the Party's in big trouble. They don't have a workable set of plans or policies anymore, and everyone knows it. Once that happens, they either have to reinvent themselves or die - kinda like an old rock star.

Don't get too excited. Power corrupts. The cycle is entirely predictable.

    Get too much power

    Get too full of yourself

    Lose your way

    Become a target

    Lose Power

If you don't think the Dems will do exactly the same thing...... They are already at step 2 and they don't even have the White House yet. Or haven't you noticed the Congressional poll numbers?

Thank Karl Rove, because the strategists in McCain's campaign, especially Schmidt, are practicing the usual smear and fear, which has been a large reflection of the party's undoing.

The party has developed their trademark of dividing people. Politically, it somewhat worked with the partisan wingnuts in the early part of the decade, but the American public has become battle-weary and Obama is capitalizing on marketing himself has uniting and positive. And it's working.

Their president is a political liability, and their presidential candidate is using the same tactics of that liability. One would think McCain would take the high road, like in 2000, but his campaign has become exactly what smeared him in 2000.

The party is a political parasite now. They need a host to feed off of, in this case its Obama. Without an enemy, the party has no structure or purpose anymore. Their lifeblood has become being anti-whatever. Their ideas certainly haven't worked the last 8 years, they ridiculed those that didn't agree with them on Iraq as "UnAmerican", they wrapped themselves in the flag and stood on their pedestal, pontificating about terrorism and patriotism, and it doesn't work anymore. So now they are coming apart at the seams, and it's time to pay the piper.

I noticed McCain stated that he disagreed with Bush's economic policies. Seems strange since he voted for them. Palin threw in "religion and guns" for good measure. The Wright commercial just aired again a few minutes ago. Shame they can't afford more airtime for that jewel.

So true, that's exactly how it's been since time and memorial. History is repleat with examples but they usualy include huge failure...which resembles the Bush Administration more than than say...the Clinton Administration.

I asked myself the other day..."Self" I said...If McCain would have won, would "Self" do all he could to be cooperative, and a good American? Or would "Self" be too jilted and wish harm, disunity, and negativity on the McCain administration?"

As for Congressional poll numbers...the Republicans get just as negative numbers as the Democrats do. But when individual politicians have polls done on them within thier constituancy, they average 35%-90% approval ratings. We live in a society that seeks to blame someone else I'm guessing? I suspect that the 18% Congressional approval rating is maybe how people feel about America's direction right now which are just as low. I dunno for sure though.

km, will you try to embrace change and the chance to improve either yourself, your community, or your country? Maybe you don't need any improvement Kmiller...but if you do, will you try? Or be jilted, bitter, and go to church and whine right before you head off to the gun range? (joking km, totaly joking), but anyway...are you in?, or will it be the five stages of grieving for you?

Hear hear Blue. I'm out of green for you because your so awesome! You should need a license to be so correct!

Steve Schmidt is Karl Rove's apprentice, not padewon, but apprentice! If Rove wasn't so much of a bald helmet head I'd bet a paycheck that there are three sixes' on his head.

Crap...even Orrin Hatch is yelling today, McCain...yelling "stand up and fight!" They could go away and I wouldn't miss them.
