US contemplates first strike capability with missile shield

Despite denials by the United States, Russia correctly percieves the US missile shield as being targeted at them, not Iran. The so called Missile Defense system has been well understood to be a first strike weapon. It's a sword not a shield. It expands the domains for freedom of aggression. As expected, the US foreign policy establishment now openly contemplates first strike capability

Isn't that article several years old?

Just felt like posting it. I think it might have something to do with Biden's apocalyptic warning.

"It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Watch. We're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate. They're going to want to test him. And they're going to find out this guy's got steel in his spine.

He's going to need help. He's going to need you—not financially to help him—we're going to need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not going to be apparent initially, it's not going to be apparent that we're right.

There are going to be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision.' Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."

Here is Biden, a longtime representative of the financial aristocracy, voicing his contempt for public opinion: "if decisions are popular, they're probably not sound", and warning his audience that the new Obama-Biden administration will have to defy public opinion to carry out its policies. Biden suggests that their administration's response will shock not only public opinion, but even its own supporters.
