    Why Do Americans Blame Republicans?

Since most conservatives will argue that more people watch Fox News than all other networks, (& therefore can't claim "Liberal News Bias" for souring voters against them) why are the polls tracking so heavily against the Republicans (both in the Presidential & Congressional races) & what would cause the projected historic losses for them on 11/4?

If we are referring to the economic crisis, its only partly the Republicans fault. The democrats had a large hand to play in this as well. The housing market part of this started a long time ago when the democrats said that everyone should own a house, without background checks, and got even worse when down payments weren't needed. The democrats were in charge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and always denied there being an issue.

Are the Republicans to blame for Europe and Asia's financial crisis too?

The Republicans are mainly taking the slack on this because Bush is president and everyone is ready for him to be gone. Thats basically the main reason.

Gullible uninformed voters who've been charmed by a slick but slimy Chicago politician would have alot to do with it. There's not much the Republicans can do about it really. Just hope and pray the damage at the end of his first and last term is minimal.

Also it takes a mighty ignorant individual to think for one second that the nations ills are strictly the Republicans fault.

Because they created a sub culture based on perversion and mean spirited behavior, and when anybody said anything for the last eight years they showed the hand. Well if they loose the election, they should expect the hand in return. They're never going to unite and be a positive member of our political spectrum until they win again and start wars and give us the hand again. They'll make themselves useless eventually and I wouldn't worry about it.

I might add the Republican tactic of dismissing those who disagree with them politically as not being part of the "real America". if Obama does win the next 4 years will be bitching and whining and pissing and moaning even as things improve. Obama has already been consigned by them as worse than Bush. I bet they even think Democrats invented the income tax.

Actually the polls are showing about the same leadthat Gore was showing when he ran against Bush in 2000.

    Gore lost.

Back to the question at hand. Although it is curious how these questions become attack Obama threads.

Why Do Americans Blame Republicans? Because they promised things that they didn't do. Because they let partisanship lead their thinking rather then the countries well being. Because that partisanship got in the way of proper oversight of the administartions activities. And on and on. It had nothing to do with Barack Obama. You want to blame him for "Why Do Americans Blame Republicans?"

Americans blame Republicans mainly because most are ignorant. The Republicans deserve a fair share of the blame, thats for sure. But so do the democrats. This was a bipartisan fuck up starting years ago, before Bush was there. NOT EVERYONE SHOULD OWN A HOUSE! In July Barney Frank said Fannie and Freddie will be fine. Less than 3 months later they are tanked. Bullshit. The Republicans are taking all the heat because Bush is the current president and people hate him. Thats the reason. Bush was president in the time leading up to this crisis, so he deserves a lot of the blame as a leader, but its not his tax code that caused this problem. His tax code had nothing to do with this. Deregulation had little to do with this either. The regulations that were in place would have been sufficient, had these regulations been properly enforced, but they weren't. The SEC dropped the ball big time. The whole US government is at fault in this. This is precisely why making govt bigger is not the answer.
