    Paid posters

Are people who are paid to go on line to post on forums having an effect on the election. If so what?

Attached is a poll. It is anonymous.

I have my doubts that this has ever happened, or is prevelant. It would seem to me like a poor way to get ther word out, and a very easy way to turn people off to your candidate.

plus why would they be paid? what a waste of money. people aren't paid to cold call people or go door to door, so why would they get paid to post on a message board?

The pentagon uses them, so why not the partisan committees.

I don't think the people are paid, but only a fool would believe that there are NOT posters here who are directly involved with their perspective campaigns.

that was tv appearences. thats a paid position. i'm saying no one would pay someone to post on a message board when there are plenty of people who would do it for free.

I'm sure some supporters or campaigners on the payroll will use forums to get the message out but I doubt anyone is paid JUST to post on forums. They have just as much effect on the election as any other poster.

They use them on the boards. I think for a time we had one here, i will not reveal his name but I accused him of it and he never denied it. The ones on the news, well they were paid by the pentagon to spread propaganda, which as you may know is illegal.

All you have to do is look at the guy that posted the rumor about Sarah Palin believing that dinasaurs were around 3000 years ago. Matt Damon picked it up and ran with it. Once that happens Matt Damon fans will side with whatever their told.

A lot of bloggers are now inventing the news and it only takes about 2% of the population to be influenced and make a real difference in voting numbers.
