The bailout was to ONLY help the corporate exec buddies of the politicians, not any of their Middle-Class clients.

Some banks are probably using the bailout money to acquire other banks, not to help their clientele. Politicians and corporate execs: in bed together forever. Who pays all the time for their trysts? The Middle-Class.

And, of course, who will be blamed? President Obama.

Eventhough it was George W. Bush and his cronies who fucked us over the edge.

Hey, if the Bush idolizers and apologists can blame Clinton for 9/11, then using their logic, Bush should be responsible for at least the first 2 years or so (or all 8 years like the Bush apologists blame Clinton for) of all the bad things that will happen to people under the Obama presidency.

    That was easy....

However, Bush’s Treasury Department is encouraging banks to use the bailout money to buy their competitors, and has pushed through an amendment to the tax laws which rewards mergers in the banking industry.

All of this is part of the process of taking stealing the American peoples money and tying this nation to an unsurmountable debt which has the effect of making us slaves to the state, which obviously is controlled by the plutocracy.

First, they got the American people to leverage their investments far beyond their ability to cover losses which has resulted in a consolidation of mortgages into the hands of a few large banks and investment firms. They also, through the manipulation of the market, stole 40% to 50% of peoples retirement savings and as we can see they have gotten our government to finance their acquisition costs as well.

They have gotten government to pay for the relocation of their manufacturing operations to countries with meager standards of living and no or very little human rights.

What they do not acquire with the upcoming crash they will most certainly take the rest with the upcoming currency swap.

We have been and continue to be manipulated like cattle in a slaughter house and we can expect an ever increasing strangle hold on our personal liberties and human rights.

How have we gotten for the government to pay for the relocation of our industry to areas where it is cheaper?

    Just fact checking.

I may disagree on your takes of some of the other things that the government has done, but I can at least see why you could see something that way.

Through tax credits and tax incentives for the developement of third world economies. All part of NAFTA.

Yes, I know we do not always see things eye to eye but to me that is a good thing. Although I am old, I am still open to knew ideas and am not affraid to adopt them if need be.

I agree that NAFTA has caused America's industrial capacity to be decreased, but I have searched in google, and then read most of the wikipedia article about NAFTA. NAFTA would of only reduced the tariffs (or elliminated I am not sure) for products to be produced in Mexico to be transported to the US.

If you are considering reduced tariffs to be tax credits, then you are right, but I just thought you meant what tax credits would of meant in one country domestically.

There is no real point of discussing politics with someone unless you disagree, or else it is just political, partisan masterbating.

here is an interesting storyon NAFTA.
    NAFTA at 10

Another thing in comparing taxes, it is best to use the IRS taxes recieved as an example of the rates taxpayers actually pay. Also, it would be even better to include taxes paid at the state and local levels, to include the sales taxes coupled with fees for licenses and such.
