If your business does not have a large enough profit margin it is HIGHLY unethical to give yourself and the other executives big bonuses.

Because you own the company and thus are allowed to make those kinds of decisions? If they don't like it, they can work for someone else.

Employers have a responsibility to their employees, and a lack of profit is probably the management's fault anyway.

The fact that they are using tax dollars for bonuses is criminal in itself as well.

The only responsibility employers have to their employees are those that are in the contract. Anything else is an act of charity.

I do agree that their use of our tax money for their enjoyment is unnacceptable though.

Bingo. If a company wants to bonus itself into the ground, I can't stop them. However, the execs who accept bailout money and still lay off employees while treating themselves should be tarred and feathered right before they are jailed.

The bailout was supposed to help banks loan again, fuck saving hey? Anyway this is an appropriate use of tax dollars, and these pukes should be arrested. The stockholders should be rioting over this, as anyone who has a 401 tied up in GS, thats allot of people.
