Meh. Khalidi's connections to the PLO are unclear. Besides, everyone seems to pal around with this guy.

During the 1990s, while McCain served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), he distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars(!)

Does this mean that McCain was wrong to help a Palestinian group conduct research in the West Bank or Gaza? Of course not. But it does make it hypocritical of him to level this particular accusation at Obama. After all, if he's wholesome enough to deserve a half-million dollar grant, can it be so morally wrong to have a drink with him?

Bravo to the LA Times! We don't need another irrelevant issue thrown in the mix while selecting the next president. We need to focus on the economy, the war, health care and other issues important to our future. Who the fuck Obama met and shook hands with at some function years ago is meaningless.

I surely hope that Obama will look at opposing sides to all issues and not ignore the plight of the Palistinian, or the welfare of Israel. An intelligent man can do both. I don't think McCain can. Not that Obama is going to solve the problems between these peoples but McCain sure as hell stands no chance.

I don't recall electing you as the chairman of the "Let's Decide What The Relevant Issues" are committee.

I think a video of Obie palsing it up with terrorists would be a vital piece of information, an especially interesting item for his jewish supporters, I'm sure.
