Remember 2006 when the Dems proclaimed that one party rule should never be allowed to exist again?
"Democrat Excuses and Hypocrisy

Here are a couple final points about the Democrats I’d like to make before the election…
- Everyone on the Democratic side from Paul Krugman to the Bismarck Dems have been using this mantra to help the Democrats take back the House and the Senate: “Let’s end one-party rule. We need oversight. One-party control is not good for anyone.”
Let’s imagine for a minute that the Democrats actually take back the House and the Senate (both of which I don’t think will happen), I trust that the Democrats will elect the Republican nominee for President in 2008. Why? Because apparently we can’t have one-party rule."
"Like a one-armed canoeist, lopsided rule has delivered neither efficiency nor effectiveness.

When One Party Rules, Both Parties Fail
Two-party rule also helps to marginalize partisan extremists and curb ideological excess. The Democratic Congress moderated President Reagan's unsustainable tax cuts and defense buildup, safeguarding his legacy. In the Clinton era, divided government produced a miraculously frugal fiscal detente. Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton both succeeded not in spite of divided government but because of it."
I can post endless stories from the last elect. So why are the Democrats, who for sure will still hold both house of the congress, not pushing to make sure McCain and the Republicans retain the White House.
You know divided government is so good and one-party rule so bad.
