Thread: Obama lies about raising taxes

I heard an interesting point on the radio. The point is that Obama is lying about raising taxes on people that earn less than $250,000. The proof is that he is in favour of repealing the Bush tax cuts. With control of both houses, it is a fore gone conclussion that the tax cuts will be repealed if Obama were to become President.


That is a tax increase on all tax paying Americans.

Wrong! Obama clearly said repeal the bush tax cuts for those over 200 or 250k per yr. His plane spells out the cuts for the various wage earners.

No you are wrong. He opposed the Bush tax cuts before and he continues to do so. It is part of the Demcrats agenda to consider the tax rebates as not perminent so to not renew them is to not increase taxes. it is a lie. An out right lie.

Q: Can you make an absolute, read-my-lips pledge that there will be no tax increases of any kind for anyone earning under $200,000 a year?

CLINTON: I will let the taxes on people making more than $250,000 a year go back to the rates that they were paying in the 1990s.

Q: You both have now just taken this pledge on people under $250,000 and $200,000.


OBAMA: Well, it depends on how you calculate it. But it would be between $200,000 and $250,000.

To quote Sara Palin "you betcha". I have been saying that the Obama tax cut was a shell game. Except for those who are already convinced, not much progress. This man is a disaster.

Yeah, but, the dirty little secret is that the leftist congress will not renew them, but let them expire. Then our taxs will be what they were under Clinton.
