    I, Pencil

I found this fun article and it's relevance now that we are about to make a rather large shift toward socialism is greater than ever.

Though it is kind of long so here is the link:

Advocates for Self-Government - Libertarian Education

Anyway it really is kind of fun.I

    I like....

The lesson I have to teach is this: Leave all creative energies uninhibited. Merely organize society to act in harmony with this lesson. Let society's legal apparatus remove all obstacles the best it can. Permit these creative know-hows freely to flow. Have faith that free men and women will respond to the Invisible Hand. This faith will be confirmed. I, Pencil, seemingly simple though I am, offer the miracle of my creation as testimony that this is a practical faith, as practical as the sun, the rain, a cedar tree, the good earth.
This lesson can be expanded to so many aspects of our lives and nation.

    Ya think?!

Like maybe politicians shouldn't think that they can micromanage the entire economy when no could even dare to imagine that they could manage the making of a pencil.

I love it. Greenage awaits you!

Jeez, Lakeman, you don't know how happy this stuff makes me.

It's like, I "perceive", that your de-programming away from the Neo-Con kool-aid, is virtually complete.

Nah, really pal, I mean, I don't know how much of the stuff you actually swallowed, but I do seem to remember catchin' you in a quote or two....

See, I mean, this is what I "predicted" would happen, after Neo-Con de-programming kinda got introduced into the mainstream of American thought -

People like you, and people like me, and people like a whole lot of other people around here, once we've got the blinders off and we're back to reality, we discover that we have a lot in common. We think a lot of the same things. We hold a lot of the same values. We have a lot of the same principles.

And I mean, I don't care if you're a flaming liberal, or an arch-conservative. There will always be points of disagreement between us, but thoses pieces that we hold IN COMMON, and SHARE, are far more important. VASTLY more important!!!

Now, you know, there's a few other "trends" in that direction, in terms of the conservatives around here, and I mean, there's one or a few, that might be a lost cause (Stinger, comes to mind - his stuff is so partisan at its core, that I don't think de-programming is gonna work on him, he needs somethin' different, I'm not sure exactly "what" but it sounds more like some kinda generalized problem with life or somethin'... ) -

But I mean, you know, people like kmiller, and heel31, and those types, they're kinda gradually taking off the blinders - maybe "testing the waters" a little in that regard - so far so good....

This is great, man. Really - I am VERY happy to see this. I was really worried there for a while. REALLY worried, like, I considered that it was a VERY short step from where we were to a full-on nationalistic Nazi-Germany thing. And I mean, call me a paranoid fool, but I know human nature VERY well, and I do know for CERTAIN, that this type of thing is a natural equilibrium state that human beings will fall into NATURALLY ON THEIR OWN, and it must be GUARDED AGAINST, because it is VERY dangerous!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    'Kay. Good show.
