We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Watch. We're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate. They're going to want to test him. And they're going to find out this guy's got steel in his spine.

He's going to need help. He's going to need you—not financially to help him—we're going to need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not going to be apparent initially, it's not going to be apparent that we're right.

There are going to be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision.' Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."

Here is Biden, a longtime representative of the financial aristocracy, voicing his contempt for public opinion: "if decisions are popular, they're probably not sound", and warning his audience that the new Obama-Biden administration will have to defy public opinion to carry out its policies. Biden suggests that their administration's response will shock not only public opinion, but even its own supporters.

Your preaching to choir with me. However you have got some convincing to do with some of the others in this crowd. I have been saying since last summer that Obama is bad news. Very bad news. If he is elected then we are in for one hell of a four years.

Pat Buchanan slammed Rachel Maddow for giving Biden a pass on this and said if Palin said this she'd be sounding the alarm. It seems "apocalyptic", whatever it is.
